When Ellie was being examined by the pediatrician after she was born, her doctor looked into my eyes and said, "Now this is a great baby. She is a GREAT baby." We think she is too! How did the doctor know?? Yeah, she probably says that about all the babies, but we really do think she is a great baby and a joy. God knew I needed an easy one this time! She's 11 months already! She is almost a year for crying out loud!!!! Here is what she has been up to recently.
1. She pulls herself up to standing and walks while holding on to something.
2. She loves to squeal very loudly.
3. She is an awesome tooth grinder. All eight of them.
4. She laughs when her teeth are brushed.
5. She is an early riser. But usually content to hang in her crib for a while.
6. She has a smile that melts old men in the grocery store.
7. She has a magnetic personality. Little girls love her and can't keep their hands off of her.
8. She has mastered the pursed lip breathing technique. She scrunches her little nose and breathes in and out through her mouth with great gusto.
9. Is a talented paper shredder. She is very eager to find a good book, especially my Bible!
10. She refuses no food. Will eat anything.
11. She has a great ability to find that itty bitty Lego that got dropped on the floor.
12. She's incredibly sweet. Loves to cuddle.
13. She lights up with a huge smile when she sees her daddy or brothers.

I got to hang out with Tracy yesterday. I just love her, but then who doesn't?!! I am so thankful for her and so many other wonderful women at FBC. Tracy takes some amazing photos even with an uncooperative baby! Thank you Tracy!!! To see the rest click here for her photo blog.

I took some more pics of Ellie yesterday. I just want to dress her up and take pictures of her all day. She is so precious! I had a friend edit them. I love how these came out. I need to take a photo shop class before my kids are all grown up! It made such a big difference. Isn't she simply adorable?!!
Erick's aunt Mary crocheted that beautiful dress for Ellie!

I am just crazy about this precious baby! Just look at her! She is so adorable and super sweet!!
On these next ones I made a backdrop from some extra fabric (I am making Ellie a really cute blanket). This was a cool tip from the Momtog blog, which I should start reading because it has great photography advice.
Isn't her dress the cutest? Grandma Kristie had them made for all the girls!

I can't believe it has been 5 months already! Ellie is the easiest baby I have had or seen! I hope she stays this way!!! I LOVE my baby girl, she is completely amazing!!! The boys are totally crazy about her too! I never thought they would love her so much. It is so sweet! Ellie thinks they are hilarious. She totally lights up when they are near her. They are the best ones at making her laugh and smile. She has Miles' laugh.

Ellie relaxing after a long day.
She is 4 months now and I can't believe how big she is. Her personality is starting to show. Her big blue eyes watch me like a hawk, all the time. She is smiling and laughing a lot especially when Miles is around. She has sweaty feet just like Mason did when he was a baby. She also sucks her thumb, just like Mason used to. Lately she has been fascinated with her fingers and her voice. She likes to hear herself "talk" just like Mason still does.
Erick took the boys camping this weekend. So it was girl day yesterday. Ellie and I went to the mall and then watched a chick flick. She is a much better shopper than Miles has been lately. Every time I would walk into the baby section with Miles he will need to go to the bathroom immediately or come up with a sudden illness (he is a clever little guy). Ellie loved shopping (of course she did - she is a Cobb). I have realized since having a daughter that I need to practice self-control at a whole new level when I go to the mall. Every thing is so cute!!! I wanted to buy FOUR Easter dresses for her!!! But I compromised and just bought 2 (and I will return the one I bought last week). Why does everything have to be soooo cute?!! Maybe this is why that ugly word "budget" has been mentioned in our house lately? That word makes me sad, it is no fun!

Ellie rolled over for the first time today! I haven't given her many opportunities to practice because I am always holding her. I know I am breaking so many "Baby Wise" rules with her and it will bite me in the butt someday... oh well. Anyway, ever since Ellie heard that her "bestie" was rolling over a few weeks ago, Ellie has been determined to keep up with her :-) I am charging the battery in my little camera and will try to snap a picture soon.

Look at those lashes!
Miles, my mom, and sweet Ellie.
I had a parent teacher meeting with Miles' preschool teacher today. He is doing really well. This is HUGE because the first few months I was worried he was going to be expelled from preschool for "excessive crying". He has made a lot of progress the past few months socially and academically. He is an exceptional cutter with the scissors and doing great with writing the alphabet (thanks to his big brother Mason, who loves to be a teacher). Miles loves going to school, likes his teachers and is making friends. Good job Miles!
